DriveSports Badminton
Our Story
Founded in 2010, Drivesports started with three junior athletes. Today, we have over 300 students training across seven different campuses. Our Founder, has travelled to different countries and invited top players from Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, Belgium, and China to create Drivesports' unique training system. Our proprietary system encompasses the best practices from each country allowing our athletes to efficiently improve at an accelerated pace.

In 2023, Kevin Lee and Tim Lee became Head Coach and Co-Head Coach of Drivesports. Coach Kevin and Ty Lindeman are currently the highest ranked BWF men's doubles team in Canada (2025). They have won numerous provincial, national, and international titles.
Coach Tim is the son of the Founder and one of Drivesports' three original students whom took over the reigns. Coach Tim trained under Coach Ouyang and Angus (Ng Ka Long) and Vincent Wong Wing Ki.

From 2020 - 2021, our Club took a break due to COVID19. But in 2022, our club won an unprecedented twenty-three (23) gold medals at the Provincial Championship Finals.
From 2014 - 2019, our Founder, Lawrence Lee was the official Head Coach. Coach Ouyang was instrumental in designing Drivesports' initial training program. Coach Ouyang had many successful students, his daughter was Canadian u19 National Champion in girls singles. He was also the coach for Guoxing Huang and more recently u17 boy's National Singles Champion, Alan Yang.

In 2012, the Club did not have a name with only three students (Timothy Lee, Jin Kim, and Tommy Bui) but early success led the club to grow very rapidly.
